Sinch

Senior Visual Designer, Mail Brands

Brand and creative design for Mailjet and Mailgun, with a product lens.

The company

Sinch is a global communications platform: messaging, voice and email APIs used by over 200,000 businesses. Mailjet and Mailgun are two of its email brands. Distinct products, each with its own brand identity, with similarities in what they offer. I’m the design seat for both.

My role

I look after the creative side of both brands: launches, campaigns, brand, web and social, in English, French, German and Spanish. I work alongside the product team rather than on it, so the product interface itself is theirs, and I draw on it when I illustrate it.

Who I work with

I sit in the marketing team and work day to day with product marketing on feature launches; lifecycle and email; paid and performance; web and SEO; demand generation across regions; content; campaign management; and marketing leadership for priorities and sign-off.

Beyond the team: the product team, other designers, the central Sinch brand team, plus external agencies, freelancers, developers and digital ops.

What the work looks like

Feature launches

For each new release I design the launch assets: simplified illustrations of the product interface built from shared Figma libraries, stills and short animations, and dedicated web pages. Many features a year, each with the same care.

Campaigns and brand

Paid social and display campaigns, from first concept to final production, often directing agencies and freelancers to extend capacity. I’m also the guardian of both brands’ visual consistency across website graphics, social, templates, documents and event material.

Brand refresh, tools and web

I lead the 2026 Sinch identity rollout across Mailjet and Mailgun, reworking existing assets and templates. Alongside the design work, I design and build things for the team, including the new MJML website and an internal tool for producing localised product videos.

Highlights

The rollout across both brands is under way, including more than 100 website illustrations reworked for the new identity.
